The Municipality of Port Hope Fire & Emergency Services offer "Burn Permits" to those who live in the rural area for $20.00 per year. Applications for Burn Permits are available at the Canton Municipal Office at 5325 County Road 10, Port Hope during business hours. A site visit may be required prior to receiving approval for your permit.
There is no 'open air burning' permitted in the urban area.
